Tired.

{Sigh} Just thought I would share some of these great quotes that I found while browsing blogs yesterday. I thought, perhaps if your feeling like me (just tired....of the laundry thing, the sick kid, the no sleep, the mom thing and the thought of making dinner makes me wanna scream thing) these could help you along.

"Women rock a sobbing child without wondering if today's world is passing them by, because they know they hold tomorrow tightly in their arms. When the real history of mankind is fully disclosed, will it feature the echoes of gunfire - or the shaping sounds of lullabies? Will what happened in cradles and kitchens prove to be more controlling than what happened in Congresses?" - Neal A. Maxwell

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautiful tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my nails from helping weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheek and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Here's hoping to a happy Monday!
(and praying that tax returns go well :)

Yes, the work never ends, but you know it's worth it when your child says or does something that warms your heart. And all your efforts won't go unnoticed.

Really great quotes. I'm not a mother yet - but plan to be soon and I'm sure I'll be able to relate exactly.
