Seriously.

Seriously sick. Seriously don't feel like blogging. Seriously can't wait until the hubs gets home and I can lock myself in my bedroom, drink some apple cinnamon TheraFlu and watch New Moon. Doesn't that just sound like a fun night.
Might have to have the hubby get the linky party up and going later tonight :)
Hope you're all doing better than me!

Feather Her Nest Baby Shower

"Feather Her Nest"

baby shower for my sweet nephew Krozby who decided to come a few days early making us cancel the first shower only to have it weeks later with him in attendance :)

The invitation.

I made this sign using an adorable paper pack that I found at JoAnn's! On every other letter I put burlap on the back using brads in each corner.

I made these super easy bird cages using the tutorial found here.

I place of bunch of natural birch branches in a vase full of pinto beans. And little paper birds hung with raffia.

The bird's were used as the advice cards for the guests to write on the back.

The centerpiece to the food table. The birdhouses were found at Hobby Lobby. The eggs were made using plastic Easter eggs by painting them cream, speckling them with brown paint and hot gluing twine around the bottom.

Yummy yummy vanilla cupcakes with butter cream frosting and toasted coconut for "the nest" and jellybeans for the eggs.

The take home gift for the guest were clear bags filled with some moss, jellybeans and a Dove chocolate truffle egg.

In all of the chaos, I didn't even get pictures of my mom's fabulous food. She made Cafe Rio pork salads that would rival the real thing. Soooo yummy!

I love my SIL and nephew so much, but boy am I relieved to have this shower over with :)

Here's the rules...

* Link to your specific post, not the main page of your blog.

* Include the name of your blog and a short description of what your linking up.

*Go ahead and link up as many projects as you'd like.

* Grab the button so everyone can come party and get in on the fun (it's the nice thing to do).

* Please no links to Etsy shops or online stores.

* And last, but certainly not least, it always feels good to see that others enjoy your stuff, so please leave a comment with the two people who posted before you :)

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween! Halloween at our house seems to last for a week. First we dress up for the girls dance class parties, then we dress up for the Trunk-or-Treat and don't forget the Halloween parade at school...and throw in my SIL's baby shower into the mix and a slight case of the "holy cow I'm sick" (me and my son) and last week DID ME IN!

I can't wait to show you bits and pieces of the baby shower, but for now I want you to check this out...
10 meals on $10.00

Also, have you visited this website...
