I use to be a pretty avid couponer.  Meaning I would make it to the store the day the ads came out and push my way through lady after lady trying to get my 3 or 4 items....those were the days :)  lol... 

I am by no means a pro couponer, so far from it when you see these crazy people on tv buying up the stores and only paying 5 bucks, (that is so another post) but it is an awful lot of fun to save money.  My best shopping trip yet was at Smith's.  My total was around $81.00 and it came out to .02 cents!  Crazy!  I'm thinking that may never happen again.  So in an effort to get my butt back to couponing I am introducing you to the sites that helped me get the ball rolling on saving some money...

Anyone heard of Disney Movie Rewards? I had, but paid absolutely no attention to what it was.....until today. You know those annoying papers that fly out all over the floor when you buy a new Disney movie? Well turns out they are actually very necessary! So I went through all of our movies and found 23! I know in the past we have thrown a lot away :(

You are only allowed 10 codes a day so I punched them in and got 1100 points with 13 more codes to put in! So with my 1100 points I redeemed some of them to get these...

Old Navy Weekly

Is anybody out there familiar with Old Navy Weekly? If not, let me explain. Every week old navy places these fun ads where you actually have to find the coupons online. Right now the ad is making an outfit. You combine the shirts with different pants and such and a coupon will pop up! Last week they had a chick run across the screen and if you clicked on him it was $50 off your $100 purchase! Holy money saved! They only give a certain amount of coupons out so make sure your on top of it. I will post every week when the ad is renewed and the "hints" to find your coupons!

How does that sound? For this week Feb 18th:

This weeks shopping was a success again! Yippie...I can't find my receipt, but I do know I only spent $16.00 and saved $55.00! It's like an addiction....but a good one!



Also here is a way cute picture of me and the hubby. He has been so amazingly helpful with my craziness of Quilted Bear, letting me go out with friends or my mom to get a break, and dealing with me and all my parties I throw. Thanks hon for putting up with it all! I love you!(Pay no attention to the fattiness under my chin and the fact that Brad hasn't shaved, a big fight between the two of us often...lol)

My other secret love....coupons!

As many of you know, I have been doing Pinching your Pennies for quit some time now...and can I just say it is the greatest thing EVER! When getting in line behind someone with coupons I would roll my eyes and think, "are you serious!" Now I'm the one hacking people off, and I LOVE it. Brad is completely shocked at the amounts I save each and every week. It is like a game for me. Last week I shopped my best week to date. This is everything thing I got at Albertson's....


10 Dannon Yogurts
5 Boxes Electrosol
4 Boxes granola bars
2 Boxes Instant oatmeal
10 Healthy choice meals
1 Carton OJ
1 Loaf bread
My total should have been $91.65, but after coupons and my preferred card I spend a whopping $19.61! I saved $72.04!!! That is less than .60 an item. Bravo to me I say! You all should really try it. My food storage has also grow from nothing into this...


I know it's not huge, but it's more than we had 2 months ago which was nothing!
