Great Mother's Day Gift!

Mother's Day is just around the corner! I can't believe we are into the middle of April!
Well this next project is something I made for my dad last Father's Day, but could easily be done for that mother in your life!
I bought my frame at Michael's, make sure it comes with a matte board already in it! I covered the board with some of my favorite paper and Mod Podged over it (love that stuff). I added ribbon and from there I wrote down a bunch of words that best describe my dad (or mother) and also included the names of my brothers and mom and formed it in Photoshop (love that even more than Mod Podge!) I used different fonts and sizes and colors....That is it! Printed it off a Costco for .13 (HELLO) He loved it and it was so easy to do! You could do it for anybody as a gift!

I think this is such a clever idea. I'm going to make one with all my Mom's children, grand kids and greats (30 something) names on an 8 x 10 mat with her picture in the middle. Thanks so much for sharing an idea with a lot of heart!

That is really such a good idea - very personalized, with much thought and creativity put into it - I just can't think of something that a Mom or a Dad could love more than that. Great job!

Following you from TGC's New Friend Friday. I'm planning on doing something like this for Mother's Day too! There's a free online tool called Wordle that will do the words like that (I take forever working in Photoshop). Great minds think alike;)
